Walleye is a white fish and highly sought after on Lake Ontario because of the size they grow to (10+ lbs!) here in the heart of the Golden Crescent.
They are a white flaky fish well known for their sweet and succulent flavor. The Walleyes in Henderson Harbor average 7-8lbs and are some of the best fishing you can experience on Lake Ontario.
Trout Fishing on Lake Ontario
MAY - SEPTEMBER
Lake Ontario hosts some truly magnificent trout with average sizes of 20-40lbs. They are a staple fish and are more predictable as compared to other species on the lake.
They are white fish known for their mild and pleasant buttery flavor and flaky texture. If you want a trip to remember, make sure to book during the months when the trout are the most active.
Smallmouth Bass Fishing on Lake Ontario
JUNE - SEPTEMBER
The smallmouth bass fishing in Henderson Harbor, NY is some of the best fishing you can ask for in the Northeast. The fish here are plentiful because they reside in the Golden Crescent - an area in Lake Ontario known for epic sport fishing.

Salmon Fishing on Lake Ontario

You can find both Chinook (King) and Coho (Silver) salmon on Lake Ontario. In Henderson Harbor, the most popular salmon to fish for is the King Salmon. This Pacific Salmon swims into warmer waters in the summer.
On average, these fish can grow to 18-30lbs in size and have a rich, fatty consistency with a hint of sweetness and fresh fish flavor. Fishing for King Salmon is an exciting fight and they are sure to impress when they’re in the boat.
